I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian of six years and healthier because of it. I have several goals with this blog:
• To show people who think a vegetarian diet is nothing but sprouts what it is really like (and how healthy it can be)
• To dispel some myths about meatless diets (the biggest one I hear is “you can’t get enough protein”, which is why I post the “protein punch” for each meal and daily protein when I can estimate them)
• To give people who are considering adopting a vegetarian diet some inspiration
• To have some fun with meatless cooking—too many people take things too seriously!
Just like most people (vegetarians and meat eaters alike) I am not a perfect health food nut. So when I eat bad-for-you-food (pizza, potato chips) you’ll see that, too. My goal is to show the realistic and easygoing side of going veg.
